Household Cash-Flow Plan
Four sittings that end with a written sheet of weekly inflows, fixed bills, and a buffer for the week that always runs short.
Who sits with you
Kanchana Wongsawat, principal planner at Ponder Quarry Financial Planning, sits with the household for every meeting.
Included
- Four sittings in the room or at your table inside the amphoe
- A written cash-flow sheet in plain language
- One printed copy for the household and a file copy kept at the practice
- A six-month check-in, booked within six months of the last sitting, at no extra fee
Outside this sitting
- Tax returns and filings
- Accounts for a registered company or a stall's stock ledger beyond what touches the kitchen
- Choosing investments or insurance policies
- Speaking to lenders on the household's behalf
How the sitting proceeds
-
1
Recount the recent weeks
The first sitting walks through the last four weeks from memory and any notes you already keep. Paydays, market takings, boat landings, and remittances are placed on the days they actually arrived.
-
2
Put the fixed dates on a grid
The second sitting places rent, school costs, electricity, and each debt instalment on its real date, then sets irregular income beside those dates so the collisions are visible.
-
3
Watch one ordinary week
Between the second and third sittings the household keeps a short daily note of cash in and cash out. Food, rent, debt, and everything else is enough. The point is to catch one real week, not to build a perfect record.
-
4
Name the short week
The third sitting reads that note, names the week that runs short, and tests a buffer amount against it. If the buffer starves the grocery money, the amount is lowered before it is written down.
-
5
Write the sheet and read it aloud
The fourth sitting produces the sheet the household will use. It is read aloud in the room so both earners hear the same dates. A review point six months ahead is agreed before you leave.
Before you come
- The names of the adults who earn or receive money for the household
- The rent date, or the date the home payment leaves
- A list of debts with the amounts and dates you already know
- Any notebooks, passbooks, or envelopes you already use
Limits of the fee
- The standard fee covers up to two adult earners. A third earner changes the length of the sittings and is priced before you begin.
- The sheet covers spending, bills, the buffer, and the order of debt payments. Investment selection and insurance policies sit outside this engagement.
- Travel inside Amphoe Mueang Narathiwat is included. A sitting farther away is quoted before the date is held.
Four sittings at the Bang Nak room, or at the household table if you live in Amphoe Mueang Narathiwat
